Choirs in Glasgow – Glasgow Contemporary Choir
Glasgow Contemporary Choir is starting back with a brand new term. We’re searching for singers in Glasgow to join our choir, which meets for 40 rehearsals a year at Renfield St Stephen’s on Bath Street. There are no auditions, no sheet music and no stuffy old repertoire – our choirs sing contemporary songs, working towards performances every term across Glasgow. It’s a great chance to meet people, sing in a group, relieve stress and perform in public, and most of our members love every minute!
We’re on a drive for new singers to book a free taster to come along to a session. You don’t need any prior singing experience – as long as you’re willing to get involved, we’d love to have you. With some great performance opportunities coming up in the run up to Christmas, it’s a great time to get involved!
Our choir is open to women and men – as long as you’re over 18, we’re happy to invite you along to a taster session. There’s no need to sing on your own, and no-one is ever embarrassed or picked out – it’s a genuinely friendly, welcoming bunch, so please sign up for a taster if you are interested in coming along.

We’re increasing in number all the time, with 4 thriving choirs in Edinburgh, and now two sessions in Glasgow – Early from 6.00pm, and Late from 7.30pm. We’ve got a real mix of members, and all our choirs are ready to perform within each term – no experience required, no need to read music, and everyone is welcome.
Try out the choir everyone’s talking about now, with a free taster at our Glasgow Central Early or Late rehearsals, or become a member now for just £25 per month.
Our choir performs at least once per term, at a range of local and high profile events. We’ve recently performed in front of hundreds of people at a charity fundraiser, the stunning Trades Hall, and even the newly refurbished 2,500-seater Kelvingrove Bandstand. With so much going on in the run up to Christmas, now is a great time to check it out for yourself and to get involved. Our performances are mostly free to attend, and there’s no pressure to flog tickets to friends and family – we’re all about having fun, performing in public, helping out with great causes like Yorkhill and others, and constantly raising the bar with our music.
Even if you haven’t sung since your school days, you’re welcome to come along and see for yourself. Sign up for a free taster and come along in the next couple of weeks to see what all the fuss is about!
Give it a try! If you’re looking for a new hobby, our choir could be for you. Sign up for a free taster session today.
